Introduction
Chassis lubrication is one of those maintenance items specified under the owner's manual. It helps joints in the steering linkages move free. This in turn helps the longevity of the steering components. I personally do it with every oil change.
Tools and Parts Needed
Grease Gun (~$20)
Grease Cartridge (~$10)
*These will last for next several years.
Job Hours
<10 Minutes
Procedure
1. Locate the grease nipples as shown below. I have Teraflex sway bar disconnect so I have an extra pair. Also, I do not have the stock track bar so you will have to locate the grease nipples on the stock track bar. I have indicated the stock nipple position in the picture. Take a paper towel and wipe the nipple clean from dusts and dirts.
 
2. Insert the grease nipple into the grease gun tip. Give several pumps in till you see the trace of new grease start goo-ing out.
3. Clean out any excess that has come out of the grease boot. This will keep components from accumulating dirts.

Nice write up, I also give my Jeep a quick greasing after doing some trail riding especially after going thru deep water.
Hey ddtj how do you like those teraflex disconnects? I have been thinking of buying a set. |

It is simple and gets the job done. I got it because it was one of the easiest to put back on because of the round pin on the axle end. The Jeep doesn't have to be on the perfectly leveled ground to reattach. As long as you are close you can put it back on.
I was thinking about getting AntiRock but I hear it is not recommended for dailydriven Jeeps from other forum members who I tend to learn from.

| Is that the stock steering setup you have? Can't tell. I have the Currie setup and some of the fittings just will not take any grease. Even when they were brand spanking new. I wrote Currie and they told me not to worry about it. |
