will a 97 windshied frame fit on a 2000 tj?

a friend had a tree jump out in front of him on a trail and he has found a 97 frame and he has a 2000...

I think so. I haven't heard any changes between years other than the windshield bezels which I installed on my 98 and the different size of the latch openings for the top . I also have later year hardtop on my TJ. I think it was from 2000.
