I already have 32" tires and 4" lift, what would be the best upgrade from here on a stock TJ? |

Depends on what you want to do with it, and how much you want to spend.
My recommendation is to plan out your build so you don't waste money on upgrades that are incompatable.
Do you have a high lift jack?
wench?
CB?

I have a 97 TJ and the best upgrade for the buck I did was an aftermarket exhaust to replace my leaky exhaust manifold.
Why did you only get 32's with a four inch lift. you can fit 33 with out changing anything and 35's with wider flares and a little cutting.

Well, I drive my Jeep daily on the highway. When I regeared, I wish I had done it sooner.
As far as spending money on mods, I also suggest spending money on the skid plates. |

Mine had to be finally getting the right tires. They made the ride and handling of the Jeep completely different for the better. |

Just my opinion...
Do not waste your money on Air intakes, or throttle body spacers. The gain is marginal and not worth the money.
The best horsepower gain is a "clean air filter" in the stock air box.
I took off the trumpet looking thing from the front of my air box and noticed quicker revs.
High flow cat will help but only after your stock one goes bad, Again the gain is marginal.
I noticed a couple of MPG and better throttle response from an
ACCEL super coil, only works on 1999 and older though
Most of the gains you can get on horsepower are small and they can add up in cost faster than your increase in Horsepower.
Just my opinion, I have no facts to back this up. |

X2 on the regear... I bought a used set of axles from a rolled TJ that had 3.73s in a D30/D44 combo. Best 1000.00 bucks I spent on the Jeep. Cheaper than a complete front and rear regear and I upgraded to a D44 from a D35 to boot.
I sold my D30 for 100.00. I only got 30 bucks for the D35 at a scrap yard. Around here a D35 with 3.07 gears is usless. |

Speaking of cost effectiveness of mods, I also wouldn't rate any exhaust mod at anywhere near the top of the mod list or even any intake mods.
To list a few; winch, roll bar, lift, large tires, regearing, axle upgrade, and skid plates are the few mods that I would consider "money well spent" mods.
Performance mods, speaking from my experience, was not worth spending money on. I knew that to begin with but only reason I did them was because I had to replace broken stock parts.

I have 32's because that is what i had when i bought it. I don't know why the guy i bought it from didn't put 33's but what ya gonna do. I do though have stock everthing else. So maybe the first thing to go should be the D35? I've thought about putting a ford 8.8 in the rear if i can't find a cheaper D44, but what should i put up front? |

Unless you plan on rock crawling with tires bigger than 33's a D30/D35 combo is fine, I lucked into a D30/D44 with the 3.73 gears I wanted, cheaper than the regear on my D30/D35.
That's the only reason I upgraded to a rear D44.
Maybe some more info about what you plan on doing with your TJ will help with the advice. daily driver, part time offroad, part time rock crawler, full time trailer queen....
Mine is quickly becoming a part time toy, at eight miles to the gallon it is getting expensive. |

The advice I give people is don't replace something until you break it.
Or at least wear it out....
I bent my front bumper :( ..replaced it with a PSC stinger.
I bent my front fender :( ...replaced them with PSC tube fenders.
I tore my rear bumper off  ...I replaced it Toys-by-troy rear bumper. (not my best mod)
I broke my front spider gear :( ...I replaced both axles with bigger gears.
right now I'm trying to wear out the engine so I can make it a stroker. 120k and still humming along.... :( |

That bumper has save my TJ twice, I nosed over into a deep revine and then I floped it on to the driver's side each time the stinger bumper kept me from going over the whole way both times.
Both were slow rolls in very soft mud and loam, so no damage but my pride.
Where you see it coming and say...
"NO..No..No..no..no...no.....no.....NO!!!! aw shoot... is everybody OK?" |

The only chrome I have left is my lug nuts and center caps...
As soon as I can find black center caps the chrome is gone. |
